ScentWorks Odours - Infused cotton tips & filters

Scent Works or Nose Work is becoming more and more popular all over the world not only as a competitive dog sport but also for its therapeutic benefits as well.
ANKC (Australian National Kennel Club) are now running trials in most states in Australia
Odours
The odours we supply are from an approved source for ANKC and are 100% Essential Oil. We supply the following odours as per the ANKC rules
Clove Bud - Eugenia Carophyllata
Sweet Birch - Betula Lental
Cypress - Cupressus Sempervirens
Anise - Pimpinella Anisum
Infused Cotton Buds / Q Tip preparation and strength
We prepare the Q tips using the absorption process, not the direct drop process as per the ANKC Scent Work rules
The approved ANKC way to prepare the cotton buds / Q tips is to add 2 drops of odour on a cotton ball placed in a 250ml glass jar of 30 cotton buds or cotton filters.

Please note the ANKC suggested size of glass jar for storing q tips is 250ml. Our glass jars are smaller to make them easier to ship but the contents is the same.
Infused Cotton Filters preparation and strength

The approved ANKC way to prepare the cotton filters is to add 2 drops of odour on a cotton ball placed in a 250ml glass jar of 30 cotton filters.
** Important please note **
The cotton filters we supply are 100% natural unrefined cotton and not the filters generally stocked at high street tobacco shops.
The cotton filters are much larger than q tips and only 15 filters will fit in the jars we use whilst still giving them room to infuse correctly. I have put the standard two drops of odour in each jar to allow for the bigger filters but if you would like just one drop of odour please leave a note in the comments section when you order.

Q Tips
The Q tips we supply have paper stems and cotton buds, we trim the paper stems off and just use the cotton buds.
The Q tip jars are made up to order to make them as fresh as possible, stored in our glass jars and placed in a colour co-ordinated foil bag to keep the odour super fresh
Odour Storage
Odour gets out of everything even if we can't smell it our dogs can.
It is recommended that your glass Q tip jars be stored in a sealed container and put somewhere your dogs will not go. It is also advised that if you are storing more than one kind of odour you do not store them in the same place.

I am also teaching my own dogs and trialling in scent work and totally understand getting the correct odour and strength of odour is essential for giving you and your dog every chance of success, great care has gone into preparing the odour tips and filters for you :)
